I too have experienced the positive impact of Scouting, but also oppose their "bigoted anti-gay policy". This solution is a good one. I also agree with Jo’s suggestion. Dangerously close to the textbook definition of blackmail but I imagine it could possibly be effective if dressed in a particular manner. Yours is a great idea, though!
