Law School or Bar Review?

June 24, 2010
By Ross

There is a big struggle one goes through when deciding to take classes in law school.  Do I really need to take this class or will the bar review course I choose be sufficient?  So far, here is my opinion:

Class I’m Glad I Took:

- Family Law
- Federal Courts
- Sales
- Business Organizations

Class I’m Glad I Didn’t Take:

- Secured Transactions
- Payment Systems
- Conflict of Laws

Class I Should Have Taken:

- Real Estate Transactions

This is it so far, I’ll probably update this post when the Bar is over.

I took real estate trans (b/c it was on the CA bar subject list), and during bar prep, I emailed Dean Graham to tell her that the class should be *recommended* to EVERYONE since it’s on the multi-state. Plus, it came in handy when we bought a house :)

    Recording statutes – what?!

I was glad I’d taken water law too. A disproportionate amount of the property questions were water law questions.
